Ama Restaurant in Kauai

Enjoyed my meal at AMA. Had the fish and beef skewers as appetizers. Had the Cha Siu Ramen and the AMA Ahi Ramen. Both were delicious and the portions were good. Prices were reasonable and the service was great!

We got sat at a great table with a great view! But some bugs kept bothering us during the whole meal.We had the carpaccio as a starter and the Vegetarian Ramen as well as the Green Curry Ramen and everything was great!Staff was very helpful too, would definitely recommend

We received the best service here compared to everywhere else we have been on the island. Jacob was our server. He was extremely friendly and attentive. We arrived an hour before closing and we were seated promptly and received our drinks (I ordered the Liza Radley cocktail) within minutes of ordering them and our food was not far behind. We got the Bao Buns and Nuoc Cham brussel sprouts to start and they were to die for. Paired with their cilantro, jalapeño & mint sauce *chef's kiss*.For our main course, I got the Ama Ahi Ramen and my s/o got the Karaage ramen (fried chicken). I definitely should have gotten his as mine was more of a fish broth and his was a chicken broth. Still delicious!

Great food, location and service. Pretty close to Hanalei Beach. The Ramen was pretty good I liked the karage ramen. They are very flexible and let me have my ramen with a vegetarian broth. The Brussel sprouts and, Burmese salad were also very good. A must try in Kauai.

The food was OK, but definitely overpriced. I enjoyed the view from their garden!

The views of jasmine flowers, jungle and mountains pair nicely with sunset and a cocktail. 80s music, koa wood, amazing umami scents and fresh air defined my visit on a misty wet evening. The brussels sprouts are legendary. It opted for the broth-free dan dan noodles. The flavors were savory and delicious. Great spot.

Lovely. Just simply lovely. Clean good food. Full bar. Open daily 5-9pm good easy parking. We will return.

One of the best restaurants on the north side of the island. The Bao Buns and Green Curry Ramen were amazing. We didn't get the homemade donuts for dessert but everyone else around us did and they looked amazing. Our sever was wonderful and the view was beautiful on the rainy day we went. It was refreshing to sit "outside" but sheltered - good compromise in kauai winter weather!

I ordered the vegetarian ramen and was disappointed because the noodles were too soft. I like noodles more on the chewy side. The homemade donuts were disappointing, not much flavor. My husband on the other hand loved his food. He got the fried chicken bao buns and the Dan-Dan ramen. He also didn't like the donuts. The atmosphere and the servers were very nice.

Went here to celebrate my daughter and Grandma's birthday. Got to the restaurant at quarter of 6 and had no trouble getting a seat for a party of 5. We were seated outside with gorgeous views of the range of volcanic ridges lining Hanalei Bay. We ordered all the first and second courses off the menu. And decided that the ramen that we wanted were the ahi tuna, fried chicken, and the char sui with a side order of spicy miso and kimchi. The food was very good. the first and second courses are all well seasoned with great balance. The buns stood out for me, along with the brussel sprouts. The ramen however I felt was just a little bit too sweet for my taste and just a bit too aggressively seasoned. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience and the food was very good.

A hidden little gem recommended by our Airbnb host! The view is fantastic looking right into the mountains and has a lot of great seating in the courtyard out back to relax. Also has great group photo ops 😊

Ramen is delicious but does not contain enough broth and is buried under bok choy - the bok choy was good but it was way too much. They were not very accommodating for vegetarian options. My fiance is pescatrian and asked to have the ahi ramen ($19) with vegetarian broth, waitress assured us that was fine. We received the check and were billed $19 for vegetarian ramen and an additional $10 for ahi. Felt deceitful as we were not told of the upcharge by the waitress. Overall food was good and I would be willing to try it again but it's shortcomings if not fixed would cause me to stop coming.

Great location with stunning views out the back, fantastic service, best Raman I have had. It is very busy and they don’t take reservations, we got there right when it opening at 5pm and got a seat but there was a line.

Simple Noodle restaurant but really worthy. Food is really good and the view spectacular. Don't miss the only dessert they have in menù.

AMAZING!! Simply amazing!! Superb food and a MUST-DO for a sunset dinner. Gorgeous views of the hillside and sunset, an incredibly serene outdoor environment, really magical!!Food is top level, definitely a good fit for foodies! The service is perfect too—everyone is in a great mood, they are sincerely happy employees (which is rare). The service is also attentive and quick, they are not on “island time” here, which is nice.

Loved this place! The location and scenery is amazing. And perfect for kids! Mt husband got one of the bowls, which was good as to be expected. I got the friend chicken buns. Wow. Still talking about them! Yum!

This is a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere, but the wait was eternal and the food (while delicious) made me very sick that night. I had the Ahi ramen. I wanted to love it, but I'm afraid my GI tract strongly disagrees. If you go, I recommend ordering anything but a dish with raw fish.

Amazing- simply amazing. My boyfriend is a huge foodie and this place far exceeded his expectations. We loved our ramen dishes and the views of the mountains were so so beautiful. We wished we hadn't had made this our last dinner because we definitely would've gone back all week long.

Fabulous unobstructed view of the magnificent mountain range at sunset. That would be enough to "make" this restaurant, but, in addition, the food was original and delicious ( an unexpectedly good roasted Brussels sprouts salad, excellent pasta). To top it all the service was friendly. Best tip I have ever left. Be prepared to wait a little to get a table, but nothing too bad.

Really fresh food and an outstanding view. Order the Poke, it was incredibly fresh, light and unique. Limited menus for the kids but the staff has some great suggestions and the boys loved them b

5 star for the view. One of the best views for a restaurant. 3 to 4 star for the food. I’m not a big noodle fan and this in my group thought it was good. 3 star service. They said 30 min wait and took 45 min. They were just understaffed and running around like their heads were cut off. Overall a very nice place. The staffing could have been a one time thing and if you love noodles you may love the food.

Excellent food, beautiful location, wonderful ambiance & attentive service. The ramen options were very good and unique, also not overly salty broth, it was just right 👌🏼Also the donuts are light and a perfect dessert.

Spectacular views. Highly recommend you go at sunset to see the gorgeous mountains hit with a warm glow. The food was good but the service was just okay. Everyone seemed extremely stressed like the place was over the top busy, but we had no wait at all for a table. It took a very long time for us to get our drinks and food.

Amazing food and service, our server was exceptional from start to finish it was a throughly enjoyable experience. The beef skewers were the best I’ve ever had, they won my husband over who’s not a big fan of this sort of cuisine, could not recommend more highly.
